If you’re one of those people that flashes ROM a lot (or perhaps you’ve bought a new phone) you know what a pain in the ass it is to back up your Angry Birds data. The problem is that while you can always reinstall your games from the Android Market, your saved games and high score are data specific to your phone. Luckily, you can now use GameSaver an app that lets you back up all your game data.
Now, the problem with an app like this is that each game has its own specific way of backing up and storing data — meaning that it’s difficult to create one app to, uh, rule them all so to speak. Right now, GameSaver supports only a shortlist of Android’s most ubiquitous titles: Angry Birds, Cut The Rope and Fruit Ninja.
GameSaver is still considered an Alpha, but the developer promises to support more titles in the future. Plus, I give major kudos to the developer for giving the app a decidedly Ice Cream Sandwich feel.
