I’ve never really understood the purpose of compass apps. Nine times out of ten if you have a smartphone that’s working, you have a data connection and probably have GPS, which is like having a compass on crack. After all, Lewis did call Clark a basic bitch for using his compass app instead of Google Maps-ing it.
Whichever way you decide to go, Holo Compass means you can arrive in chic, ICS sexy style. Holo Compass is an extremely smooth compass that seems pretty spot-on when I jiggle it about. It has two themes that look just like Any.Do, and the bottom row of circles tells you when you’re pointed North or South or whatever.
The developer has another app, Real Compass, that also available for download if you want a more traditional looking compass app.
