RUMOR: FaceLOCK Supposedly Offers Facial Recognition On Any Android Device

Looks like a developer has released an app that promises to bring facial recognition to any Android device. As some of you may know, facial recognition is a feature in the newest version of Android, Ice Cream Sandwich.

FaceLOCK for Android

The basic idea of facial recognition is to unlock your devices using your phone’s camera (similar to a biometric scanner). While we’ve seen other apps in the Market that offer this, performance has been sometimes hit or miss. We’ve e-mailed the developer to see if we can get our hands on a review copy.
